The basic package includes the OTA, Vixen compatible dovetail bar, CAT saddle handle and soft carry case.Stainless steel reinforcement inserts on both sides and on the back to allow heavy loading without problems.Perfect for piggybacking as a guide scope!.Fast focal ratio for excellent exposure on photography usage.Retractable dewshield, smallest size ever and enhanced portability!.Pure William Optics quality fit and finish: powder-painted white CNC-machined aluminum tube. The doublet objective uses FPL53 glass ( Image 1 ). The telescope has a 61-mm f/5.9 objective, yielding a focal length of 360 mm. Image 1 The William Optics Zenithstar 61 is one of William Optics’ most compact apochromatic refractors. You can slide it directly into the mount without a dovetail plate if you like (telescopes comes with Vixen compatible style L-bracket). Here, I will review the William Optics Zenithstar 61. 61 mm clear aperture and F/5.9 focal ratio.Fully baffled to block all extraneous off-axis light rays and prevent glancing reflections, increasing overall contrast. Each lens is Fully Multi-Coated with a special super-high transmission coating (STM Coating) on all surfaces. Both kits come with a field flattener and it appears a tripod as well. ED glass (Japanese imported Ohara glass) doublet air-spaced, in CNC machined ultra-high precision lens cell. 9 apo refractor telescope - blue A- Z61BU WILLIAM OPTICS zenithstar 61mm f 5.Perfect for travelling with its soft case, this high-quality telescope will travel with you wherever you go. FPL-53 is also noticeably better than Ohara's lower spec' FPL-51 glass which offers an abbe index of 81.54 V.Small but mighty! The William Optics ZenithStar 61 is a 61mm apochromatic ED doublet that will not break the bank. Pure Fluorite offers the highest partial dispersion at around 94.99 V, Ohara FPL-53 glass is very close to Fluorite at 94.93 V and is often referred to as Synthetic Fluorite. The abbe index is used to quantify the 'partial dispersion' of a particular glass. The dispersion properties of ED and SD glass elements are important in determining the overall colour correction. Supplied with a Vixen/Synta style finder dovetail rail (for a finder-scope) and a soft carry case. Two flatteners are available for the GuideStar 61: the existing Adjustable Flattener for the ZS61 ( FLAT61A) and a new 0.8x Reducer/Flattener FLAT61R.ĬNC machined aluminium for a superior fit and finish. Other features include a new lightweight optical tube with draw-tube (push-pull) focuser for coarse focusing and a rotating lens assembly for fine focus. The new William Optics GuideStar 61 APO features the same high quality FPL53 ED doublet lens as the Zenithstar 61 so delivers sharp, high contrast images virtually free of false-colour. Use as a portable high quality imaging scope or an ultra-high quality guidescope.
